Even though we see little or no media coverage anymore, only one month and one week has passed since March 11, 2011; the day when Japan suffered a 9.0-magnitude quake and a resulting tsunami. These twin disasters laid waste to Japan's northeastern coast. The nuclear crisis still continues today, thousands of people are still missing, cities are still in ruin, and people still have no place to live; their homes, their families, and all their possessions, are just simply… gone. As Japan’s struggles continue, hopefully we have not lost site of this as a people, and we continue to pray. One of the things that appeared on the internet regarding all this, is a video many nicknamed, “The Japan Prayer Song”. This video is a compilation of photos from the devastation in Japan, and the song, Until Then, sung by a youth pastor, Kenneth Maiki Aiolupotea, with the words and music written by Stuart Hamblen. This video has popped up on several ministry and video websites, and specifically on GodTube.com, this video went viral with it now having over 125,000 people view this moving piece. It is an incredible mixture of pictures and sound, sung by a virtually unknown youth pastor with a beautiful voice, and some truly heart-filled photos. If you have not had the chance to listen or have seen this video yet, please go to www.godtube.com and search for “Japan Prayer Song”, it will be the very top video on the list, or you can go directly to it by typing in the following web address: http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=9CC9FFNU Even if you did watch it before, please go watch it again, and spend those 4:43 seconds in prayer for Japan, For more information on this recording, please go to it on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/until-then-the-japan-prayer/id430901532 |
